FRONT DOOR POLICY – WE ALL NEED TO TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR SAFEGUARDING OUR CHILDREN!

In the light of what has recently happened at a Nursery in Liverpool we thought it timely to remind all our parents to be vigilent when entering and leaving the Nursery.

Safeguarding is our highest priority and we are constantly advising all our parents that in order to keep the children safe, the front door MUST NOT be left open for ANYONE coming in or going out of the Nursery.

This is a child protection issue and one that Ofsted would take extremely seriously.  It also makes it very difficult for us to protect all of our children, and it harms the reputation of the Nursery

We do realise just how busy parents/carers are when dropping off and collecting children. We do understand it is hard to “close the door” on some-one, but this action can be politely explained, and most reasonable people would welcome the vigilant security we are providing for the children.

PLEASE DO NOT HOLD OR LEAVE THE FRONT DOOR OPEN FOR ANYONE.  It is not a matter of bad manners it is a matter of all of us keeping our children safe.

Thank you so much for your co-operation in this matter
